From my previous post, I already tackled Google and Yahoo comparison, now it is time to compare Bing to Google since the later is the most used of all the search engines.

This search engine started so humbly before they have turned into a powerhouse. They first teamed up with Yahoo and then Facebook (to make a mnore social feeling) before they tied themselves with Baidu.com (One of the top 10 sites in the world) which made them a strong search force.

Google was born because of the intent to solve the greatest dilemma in computer science, and that is the huge amounts of data for relevant information. The search engine evolved at an alarming rate mainly because of its advertising services offered. It was named as the top search engine by AOL because of the fact that there is no better way to advertise than with the search engine that has 70% of the search engine market share.

If you think about counting BING out, think twice. This search engine uses a manual system to show best search results. How BING ranks websites? It uses ranking criteria that is based to theme oriented links. BING also places greater emphasis on the site’s domain age unlike Google. If you really think about it, Bing is stricter which labeled it as a not so user – friendly search engine even if it employs some of the similar facet of Google just like its sitemap.

Why do you think Google is popular amongst the search engines? Simple, it delivers well. Whenever you search for keywords, highly relevant results are always shown because the search results are updated every day. Many use Google alone believing that getting on the first page of Google will deliver maximum results for revenue. Google uses algorithm applications to show its best matches.

ING started to gain its ground due to the large amount of publicity. Bloggers are going crazy and excited about the search engine as it is very well known that it is the new baby of Microsoft. When it comes to traffic, Bing is a strong contender for Google. It is a serious competitor when it comes to traffic.

No doubt, Google owns the monster of traffic. Yahoo and Bing cannot match the traffic that Google can deliver. So tendency is that most of the marketers focus on Google solely more often than not as there are reports of five figure earnings with Google revenue alone. So if you will create your website, better make it Google search engine friendly.

Bing’s travel search options are by far better than Google due to its separate SERP for travel where it provides all the information you need to book your flight or hotel. Google trails only by transferring searchers to Expedia or Travelocity.
