Google is now becoming more strict on the use of irrelevant content, low-quality sites and companies following their guidelines. In the most sever cases the rankings of sites that engage in tactics that violate these guidelines will be removed, which paves the way for the sites that do follow the guidelines to rank higher organically. Creating good quality content isn’t rocket science, in most cases companies should go back to basics and focus on building relevant, compelling and engaging content consistently.

To say social does not play an impact on SEO is narrow minded to say the least. Research has shown that search engines will consume massive amounts of data about companies social presence, including geography, influence, friends and interests.

Think about it this way, if you have a good social community, why not create compelling content which can be shared amongst the community? Adding to that, the more people that share your content the more potential new customers or followers you will be open to. Facebook has recently introduced Facebook graph search (make up your own mind) and Twitter is still one of the main tools for social engagement,

3. Mobile – not to be overlooked
Simply put, mobile optimization has to be done. Research has shown that many sites are experiencing significant increases in mobile traffic. If your site is not mobile optimized then you will be losing out on high volumes of potential mobile traffic to your site. To test this,  we suggest you take a look at your mobile traffic on analytics! Search engines crawl through mobile sites the same way they do for a standard website – keywords, quality, tags and so on.
