How to Remove DMOZ and Yahoo Meta Description from Google SERP
You have noticed that sometimes Google shows description of any website from its DMOZ or Yahoo Directory Listing. Its helpful for many sites but in many cases you would like Google to show your original title in search engine results page. Sometime its very important for SEO & Marketing point of view. Its not a big issue but should be considered to increase the CTR (Click Through Rate).
We can easily direct search engines not to show the Yahoo Directory or DMOZ meta description in SERP by adding to meta tags on our pages. Following are the two meta tags which should be used to prevent this problem.
1) NOODP: This meta tag is used to prevent search engines from showing DMOZ listing description in search engine results page.

2:)NOYDIR: This meta tag is used to prevent search engines from showing Yahoo directory listing description in SERP.
